Description: Daily activities may include swimming, arts and crafts, Wii, devotion and word of the week. Themed days vary by season but may include Movie Day, B3 (Bike, Board & Blade) Day or Field Trips. Occasionally, we have guest speakers or demonstrators who provide fun and informative entertainment.
Policies: Kids need to bring a lunch and snack, swimsuits, a towel and should wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes.

Facility Members/$80 per week; $25 per day
Program Members/$125 per week; $35 per day
Members and non-members take $5 off each additional child

Description: Children will improve coordination, learn games, and begin to interact more with others. Our preschool teachers are dedicated to providing a rich, nurturing environment that will help prepare your child for kindergarten. The curriculum will also incorporate the YMCA’s four core values: Honesty, Caring, Respect, Responsibility.
Schedule: Download the 2009-2010 schedule for breaks and vacation days information. Note that YMCA Preschool will follow SHCSC's weather-related closing decisions.
About Instructors: Maximum student teacher ratio is 15 to 2. Our staff is trained in CPR, First Aid and AED, as well as YMCA Child Care and Abuse Prevention Standards. All YMCA childcare programs are held to the highest standards and you can be certain that your child's safety and well-being is of the utmost importance to us!
Enrollment: The YMCA wants to ensure all children receive educational opportunities. New enrollees will be accepted at anytime during the school year, even mid-semester. Contact Youth and Families Director, Elizabeth Tuell at etuell@ymcaharrison.org or (812)-734-0770 for information.
Enrollment Requirements: Until all of these stipulations are met, the child will not be considered completely enrolled in the YMCA Preschool Program.
- Child should be the required age for his/her class as of the first day of the school year (according to SHCSC calendar).
- Be FULLY potted trained. Absolutely no exceptions!
- Have all appropriate immunizations and provide current immunization record for our files
- Completed YMCA of Harrison County Preschool Enrollment Application Packet on file
- Child's immunization history form on file (either completed from the Preschool Enrollment Application Packet or from the Health Department is acceptable)
- Total school year supply fee and first month's tuition
- To register for After Care, the child must be enrolled in one of the AM preschool sessions
