About the Open Doors Program
The YMCA is a non-for-profit health and human
services organization committed to helping people grow in spirit,
mind, and body. YMCA programs are available to all people regardless
of age, race, income, religion, abilities or gender. The Y is
community-based and believes that its programs and services should
be available to everyone.
That’s why the YMCA offers the OPEN DOORS program. OPEN DOORS allows
us to provide service to anyone who desires to participate,
regardless of their ability to pay membership or program fees. Those
unable to pay the full fee may apply to receive sliding-scale
assistance through the OPEN DOORS program.

OPEN DOORS assistance is granted based on personal need, enrollment
limitation and our YMCA’s financial resources. The thanks for this
program can be attributed to our donors, who have contributed more
than $300,000 toward our endowment at the Harrison County Community
Foundation! The interest from the endowment is used to fund OPEN
DOORS, and is also be used to offer free swim lessons to all third
graders in the county.

The Annual Mission
for Kids Campaign ensures that all people are able to
participate at the YMCA. We need your help to raise dollars that
will support people in these programs. Give and volunteer – you will
be glad you did.
Tell
me more about the Mission Campaign! Did you know you can make a re-occurring donation through
automatic bank draft? Just check the box at the bottom of the
donation form and a YMCA staff member will contact you to
securely register your financial information for automatic
monthly donation. Give a gift that keeps on giving all year
long! For further information about donations, please call our

If you have the following items cluttering up your house or
garage and would like to donate them to the YMCA as a
tax-deductible gift, please contact the appropriate person
below. Additionally, if you would like to participate in
supporting the YMCA but don't want to give cash, you can always
purchase new items on the list for donation.
Take a look at the following items the YMCA just doesn't need
anymore. If you can use any of these, please contact the
appropriate person. We can accept cash, money orders or major
credit cards for these items. All proceeds go to benefit Open
Doors Program and Mission
for Kids campaign.
