Health & Fitness Programs

Become healthier at the YMCA. Whether you’re new to fitness, a seasoned athlete or somewhere in between, you’ll get the personalized attention, support and resources you need to commit to improving your health and well being. At the Y, results are not just measured by how many pounds or inches you lose, results are measured by how great you feel inside and out.

Supportive Environment. When you join the Y, you’ll see that support doesn’t end with our staff; you’ll meet other people who will become workout buddies and then lifelong friends. We’re not a gym, we’re a community.

The YMCA of Harrison County offers fitness activities through our Health and Wellness Center. We offer a wide range of group fitness classes and a full line of Cybex circuit training equipment, various cardiovascular machines, and free weight areas with cable, barbells and dumbbell equipment. The Wellness Center is staffed with qualified instructors during most operational hours. New members are strongly encouraged to schedule a complimentary Fitness Orientation before using the equipment.

BODY COMPOSITION ANALYSIS

This program is designed to help you establish and identify your body fat percentages vs. your lean body mass. A YMCA Fitness Coach will conduct a bio-electrical impedance test and evaluate your body. The idea is to establish a starting point to track your progress throughout your fitness program. The test is recommended for all members over the age of 18 who want to alter their body composition. We invite and encourage all members who have not had a body composition analysis to sign up for one today. Analysis is by appointment only and can be scheduled at the Fitness Desk.

Non-members/$10

FITNESS ASSESSMENTS
