HEALTH & wellness PROGRAMS

At the YMCA of Harrison County “fitness is ageless.” It is a lifelong process of caring, feeding and exercising the spirit, the mind and the body. We offer a variety of activities and programs that “meet you where you are” and “take you where you want to be” on your fitness journey.

The YMCA of Harrison County Health and Wellness Program incorporates our core mission and values to help you achieve a well-balanced health and wellness connection. We offer a wide variety of opportunities to assist you in achieving your health, fitness and wellness goals.

Variety: If your desire is to be slim, trim and toned, try one of our aerobic classes. If you prefer to build, sculpt and strengthen, try our Cybex and Free Weight area. If you want to bike, run, walk or step, try our cardiovascular equipment. If you want to stretch, strengthen and relax, try one of our Pilates, Yoga or Tai Chi sessions. If you still want to step it up a notch, engage a Personal Trainer to guide you along your fitness path

Supportive Environment: When you join the Y, you’ll see that support doesn’t end with our staff; you’ll meet other people who will become workout buddies and then lifelong friends. We’re not a gym, we’re a community. The Wellness Center is staffed with qualified instructors during most operational hours.

Reaching Goals: Whether you’re new to fitness, a seasoned athlete or somewhere in between, you’ll get the personalized attention, support and resources you need to commit to improving your health and well being. At the Y, results are not just measured by how many pounds or inches you lose, results are measured by how great you feel inside and out.
