Our Youth Strength Training Program helps educate and promote healthy habits in our youth. We have integrated educational components and activities that reflect the YMCA commitment to health and wellness of mind, body and spirit for all in a safe, yet fun manner. Strength and coordination help youth develop physically and socially in a friendly and encouraging setting.

Help Our Children Thrive The YMCA integrates the following positive experiences in our Health, Fitness and Wellness programs:

  • Adult relationships: we encourage adults and youth to have healthy relationships with each other.
  • Adult role models: our staff and adult members model positive, responsible behavior.
  • Self-esteem: youth and adults improve self-esteem by participating in regular physical activity.
  • Personal Power: youth who learn new skills feel more confident in making positive choices.
