Salary Range: varies
Requirements: What can you share? The YMCA of
Harrison County is always looking for people who can teach
enrichment and fitness classes. If you feel you have a unique skill
and can instruct a class, please fill out an application. Some areas
may include music, art, dance, culinary or health and wellness.

Personal Trainer
Salary Range:
$17.50 - $20.00 per hour

Lifeguard

Volunteer founded and volunteer led,
collectively YMCA's are the largest not-for profit community service
organizations in the United States.
YMCAs are at the heart of community life in 10,000
communities across the nation. The YMCA of Harrison County was
founded in 2001 by volunteers and is governed by a volunteer board
of directors.
As a YMCA volunteer, your time and talent go a long way. Volunteers
log thousands of hours at our YMCA every year!
Would you like to spend your mornings or afternoons in a lively and
social atmosphere? Volunteer at the
YMCA Fitness Center. Receive training in Health &
Fitness and work with YMCA staff in wellness positions vital to
continuing our community service.
Volunteer as a Day Camp Coach
or Kid's Zone childcare worker
for a rewarding experience working with youth. Provide a positive
environment and teach arts & crafts or other skills that will
benefit our youth for life.
Get involved with Sports!
The YMCA is always looking for coaches for youth soccer, basketball
and other sports. This is a great way to enjoy the sports you love
and share your best game with the community's youth athletes.
Other Volunteer opportunities include:
- Fitness Center Assistant
- Sports – coaching/refereeing, field work/setup
- Class instructor/assistant for aerobics, kids dance, enrichment classes & activities
- Childcare for Club Y and Day Camps
- Member Services: greeter, check in desk, tour guides
- Marketing, Fundraising or Event Worker
- Swim instructors
- Artist or other special talents or skills
