Thank you
for visiting

Website!
Why not
join and be
a member
of one of
the finest
and largest
human-service
organizations
in the
world! We
are a
mission-driven
YMCA
committed to
providing
programs
that build
healthy
spirit,
mind, and
body for
all.
At the
YMCA of
Harrison
County,
we build
strong kids,
strong
families,
and strong
communities
where youth
and families
have
supportive
relationships,
a safe
place, and
an
opportunity
to grow.
We provide
programs
based on our
four basic
character
values:
Caring,
Honesty,
Respect and
Responsibility.
Established
in 2002, the
YMCA of
Harrison
County has
contributed
to the lives
of many
boys, girls
and men and
women of all
ages, races,
religions,
and economic
backgrounds.
We make the
Y affordable
for all
through our
“Open Doors”
financial
assistance
program.
The YMCA of
Harrison
County has
awarded over
$200,000
since our
facility
opened its
doors in
July 2004.
This program
makes it
possible for
parents to
have a safe,
fun place to
bring their
children for
day camp
while they
are
working. It
also gives
senior
citizens a
place to
come for
friendship
and
exercise.
This program
touches
every age
group.
One of the
early
visions of
the YMCA of
Harrison
County was
to offer
free swim
lessons to
all third
grade
students in
Harrison and
Crawford
counties.
We just
finished our
fourth year
of lessons
which totals
over 1,800
children!
At the YMCA
of Harrison
County we
strive to
give our
members the
tools they
need to
develop a
healthy
lifestyle,
build
self-confidence,
and meet the
challenges
of a modern
life. Programs,
classes,
exercise
equipment
and
dedicated
staff
members put
our mission
to work
every day -
strengthening
each member
in spirit,
mind, and
body.
You will
find our
friendly and
helpful
staff will
make you
feel like a
part of our
YMCA family
right from
the start.
We are here
to serve
you. Please
don't
hesitate to
call upon
one of our
caring staff
if you have
additional
needs or if
we can be of
assistance
in any way!
We invite
you to join
our Y, its
programs,
volunteers
and the
caring
spirit of
our
organization
as we help
to make our
community a
healthier
and happier
place to
live. |
