

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The nationally recognized Red Cross Lifeguard training program provides a comprehensive education centered on preventing accidents in aquatic environments. Upon successful completion of this course, an individual will be certified in First Aid, CPR, Oxygen Administration, AED (Automated External Defibrillation) and Aquatic
Safety and Water Rescues in addition to Lifeguard Certification.
COURSE CERTIFICATION:
Lifeguard Certification is conducted by a certified Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor. To be certified you must complete the course, score 80% or better on the written test and correctly perform all skills in a practical skills test. Certification may also include the instructor’s subjective judgment about the maturity, attitude
and classroom participation demonstrated during the course.
COURSE PRE-REQUISITES:
At least 15 years old by the last day of the scheduled course. Parental Consent is required for those under 18.
Swim 300 yards continuously (20 lengths of the pool)
Tread water for at least 2 minutes
Be able to surface dive in deep water and swim underwater 15 feet.

Participants will be tested for compliance to Pre-requisites. Please bring Parental Consent for is applicable.
