AWAY Program: "Always Welcome At the YMCA" The YMCA of Harrison County welcomes members of other YMCA's through the AWAY program. Membership cards from out-of-town YMCAs (outside a 50-mile radius) will be honored for 5 free visits. After 5 free visits, the AWAY member can still enjoy our facility at half the guest rate. Trivia: Did you know that there are over 12,000 YMCAs in more that 120 countries? And, more than 2,500 YMCAs in the United States? Additionally, AWAY means your YMCA of Harrison County membership card will be welcome at most of the 2,500 YMCAs across the country. If you are planning a trip, stop by or call and our front desk staff can give you the address and phone number of the YMCA closest to your destination.
You may cancel your membership to the YMCA at any time (although we hope you won't because you are important to us. We require your cancellation in writing by the last day of the prior month. For example: for a February cancellation, submit by Jan. 31st. Members may incur charges related to monthly membership dues for the current month if the cancellation is submitted after the last day of the prior month when the member is setup for automated bank draft or credit card billing. The YMCA will not be responsible for refunding charges incurred due to untimely cancellation notice.
Member Card Policy We ask that all members bring their membership cards for admittance to the YMCA of Harrison County facility. This card is verification of your membership and documentation of usage. Memberships are not transferable and any member who gives or loans their membership card to others in order to avoid membership fees will be subject to suspension or revocation of membership privileges.
