TAI CHI

6:30 – 8 p.m. Mondays

June 23 – July 28; Class Code: FTCHI08S

Limeberry Room/Instructor Jeff Raymer

What began as an ancient Chinese martial art is now practiced throughout the world for its profound benefits to health and wellness. Tai Chi is recognized by its slow, graceful, meditative movements. This session teaches the basic conditioning exercises and a short practice routine which lays the foundation for further study. The result is a stronger, more flexible body, free of tension, increasing the body’s ability to heal itself. Tai Chi can be practiced anywhere and all that is required is loose, comfortable attire. This course is suitable for a variety of ages, teenagers through senior citizens.

Jeff Raymer has been a student in the art of Tai Chi for 12 years and has been teaching it for 8 years. He continues to train under instructors who, on average, have more than 30 years experience in the art. Jeff has experience teaching a variety of ages and ability levels and is patiently able to structure each class for maximum benefit to all students.
