Walking is one of the most beneficial and easy (cheap too!) exercises you can do to improve your health. The more you are up walking around, the more your body has to work.

A Support System

The mental and social aspect of health has been proven to be as important, if not more important than the physical exercises that you do on your health journey. That is why you need a support system with you to encourage you, challenge you, and help change you. No person can do it alone, that is why we need each other. These programs are designed to help you on your journey with the aid of social support!

A Basic Understanding of Exercise and Movements

With the health epidemic in America, health and well being is as important as ever. That's why people are investing more time into fitness now than ever. This is great news! Here at the Y, we want you to get the most out of your time exercising. Being able to understand and execute the correct exercises is crucial to having a good workout and preventing injury. The old saying is true; you don't want to be a mile wide and an inch deep. It is better to know how to do a few key exercises correctly, than to know how to do everything not very well. Try and study the movements that you are doing and how to properly do them. Learn from professionals on proper warm up techniques and how to activate the right spots. If this is new to you and you don't know where to start, try starting with one of our wellness coaches, or personal trainers, they would love to help you!
